The IUCN Natural Resource Governance Framework (NRGF): An introduction and learning exchange

¿Por qué asistir a esta sesión?
Please join us to explore how the IUCN Natural Resource Governance Framework (NRGF) can support our diverse efforts to create a just world that conserves nature!
HideDescripción
Governance is a critical determinant of conservation equity, effectiveness and sustainability, including with respect to upholding human rights. The Natural Resource Governance Framework (NRGF) is an IUCN knowledge resource created to provide a robust, inclusive and credible approach to assessing and strengthening natural resource governance, at multiple levels and in diverse contexts. In this session, through a mix of presentation, plenary discussion and small group discussion, we will: explore natural resource governance and its importance in conservation, introduce and discuss the NRGF and how it can be used to help understand and identify pathways for improving governance, reflect on practical examples and lessons from NRGF pilot use, explore connections between the NRGF and other approaches, and invite your participation in the initiative going forward, including through a community of practice. Participants will receive a set of NRGF technical resources.
